After a few months John realised that it would take a great deal of time and effort to create this project so he decided to let another person develop the site and application for him. Having spent nearly three years working on Mapperg, John Le ended its development in December 2010 and transferred the copyright and licenses of Mapperg over to Raoul de Jonge in order for him to continue developing Mapperg in 2011, with this development taking place over the following two years.
